Sikhs allowed to return to temple after shooting

Posted:

OAK CREEK (WKOW) – Sikhs are now allowed to enter the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek for the first time since Sunday's mass shooting that killed six people.

Inderjeet Singh Dhillon, a community leader at the Sikh temple, says the FBI returned the temple keys to members at about 9 a.m. Thursday.  He says he and others are now working on cleanup and construction work.

Temple leaders are planning a ceremony Friday to honor those killed. Police say Wade Michael Page is responsible for the shooting. Investigators say Page shot and killed himself after a police officer shot Page in the stomach.
