VILLAGE OF CROSS PLAINS (WKOW) -- Cross Plains police says a sexual assault investigation is underway.
According to police, a female victim says she went to the Cinco de Mayo restaurant, located at 23 Glaciers Edge Square, on August 3 to pick up food. During that time she was sexually assaulted by five of the employees.
The Cross Plains Police Department says it was notified about the sexual assault on August 6.
Officials say a search warrant was served on the restaurant on Friday, August 10 by the Cross Plains Police Department with assistance from the Dane County Sheriff's Department. Police say items were taken as evidence and will be transferred to the state crime lab for analysis.
Restaurant employees were also interviewed.
Cross Plains police say at this time no charges have been filed. Their investigation into the sexual assault continues. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 608-798-4100.
