UPDATE: Fire destroys Sun Prairie home

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Fire officials in Sun Prairie say a house was destroyed after an early morning fire.

Officials say fire crews were called to the 700 block of Kelly Street just before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday. 

Upon investigating, officials say the fire started in a dumpster in front of the house. The fire then spread to the garage and the house.

Fire officials say the house is a total loss.

No one was hurt in the fire. Two cats were rescued by firefighters.

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Sun Prairie Police Department confirms firefighters are on the scene of a residential fire located at 723 Kelly Street. 

Crews were called to the scene at about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday.

There are no reported injuries.
