Pedal for the House

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison is known as a community that loves to bike! When you combine that love of biking with an opportunity to help out kids in need in our area, you get the annual Pedal for the House Charity Bike Ride to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

This year, marks the 5th Annual Pedal For The House Charity event. Bikers interested will have plenty of options to choose from because there are six different routes being offered. Three of the routes are labeled as challenging and very hilly. They include rides that last twenty, forty, and sixty miles. There are also three family routes that are five and ten miles in length as well as a Fun Loop where kids can ride with Ronald McDonald himself. Safety is very important, so helmets are required.

Other highlights of the ride include a raffle for a bike, door prizes, lunch cooked on an open grill, music, goody bags, bounce houses, arts and crafts, and face painting.

Proceeds will go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison, is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation.
