Thousands expected at funeral for Texas constable

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (WKOW) -- Thousands are expected to attend a funeral for a law enforcement officer among three killed in a shooting that took place near Texas A&M University.

Service for Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann will be held Saturday afternoon at the A&M campus in College Station.

Bachmann was fatally shot Monday by Thomas Caffall III. The 41-year-old was trying to serve a court summons to Caffall for being two months behind on rent.

A bystander was also killed. Three police officers and a female bystander were wounded.

Other officers fatally shot Caffall.

Bachmann was married and had four children.
