UPDATE: Paul Ryan comes back home for rally ahead of RNC - WKOW 27: Madison, WI Breaking News, Weather and Sports

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Vice presidential candidate and Janesville native Paul Ryan will be in Wisconsin next week before heading to the Republican National Convention in Florida.

Campaign organizers say Ryan will appear at a send-off rally Monday morning at Janeville's Craig High School. Tickets for the event are available online.

Campaign organizers say those planning to attend Monday's event should expect to go through airport-type security checks.

Ryan is scheduled to speak at the RNC in Tampa on Wednesday night, following former Secretary of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

According to Mitt Romney's campaign website, the Wisconsin congressman will be part of a send-off rally in his hometown of Janesville on Monday. The event will take place at Craig High School.
