JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's Paul Ryan will be a headliner at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, where he will accept the Republican nomination for vice president.
But before that, Representative Ryan will be honored in his hometown of Janesville.
Preparations were underway Sunday night for Monday's rally at Janesville-Craig High School, where Ryan graduated in 1988.
"We're expecting a great local turnout from the folks in Janesville & the surrounding communities. We're going to have the his band performing. We're going to have a couple of local state reps speaking, as well as the Romney campaign state chair."
Monday will mark Ryan's first public appearance in his hometown since he was announced as Mitt Romney's running mate two weeks ago.
