6-year-old stabbed by mom released from hospital

FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- The Fitchburg girl who police say was stabbed by her mother is now out of the hospital.

A report in the Wisconsin State Journal says the six-year-old is now under the supervision of Dane County Human Services.

The girl's mother, 30-year-old Tasha Harmon, is charged with attempted homicide.

According to the criminal complaint, Harmon said she heard voices before stabbing her daughter while the girl slept on August 13.

Harmon is expected to be back in court on Wednesday.
