Sister: Sikh temple shooter had alcohol problems

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The man who opened fire at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, killing six worshippers and then himself, had a history of alcohol problems, according to his sister.

The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office quoted the sister in an investigation report released Tuesday. She told investigators that Wade Michael Page seemed bloated over the past few months, and she wondered if he had been drinking recently.

Officials are still awaiting pending toxicology reports.

The sister also noted changes in Page's demeanor over the past year. She said he'd become more intense and apparently lost his wit and sense of humor.

Page killed six people and injured four others before shooting himself at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin on August 5.

His death has officially been ruled a suicide.
