TAMPA, Fla. (WKOW) – Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan arrived in Tampa, Florida, Tuesday afternoon to accept the Republican Party's vice presidential nomination.
Ryan flew from his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin, with several family members, including his wife, children, brother and mother. During the flight, he worked on his speech he will deliver Wednesday night. Ryan is expected to talk about his family's immigrant toots and his small-town upbringing.
Ryan was supposed to arrive in Tampa on Monday, but then-Tropical Storm Isaac caused him to delay his trip by one day.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, arrived in Tampa shortly before Ryan.
