BENTON, Ill. (WKOW) – A southern Illinois man is accused of threatening to kill police and blow up the police station with homemade explosives.
A federal grand jury indicted 33-year-old Matthew Galli on three counts of possessing an unregistered destructive device.
West Frankfort police arrested Galli on Thursday, August 9. Police say he had homemade explosive devices, firearms and ammunition.
Investigators say they found assault-style rifles and items used to make explosives in a search of Galli's home.
Galli couldn't be reached for comment Wednesday. Online court records don't show if he has an attorney, and his home telephone number has been disconnected.
