CROSS PLAINS (WKOW) -- Cross Plains police are recommending charges against a 23-year-old man in a sexual assault case.
The Cross Plains Police Department has filed charges with the Dane County District Attorney's Office of first degree sexual assault against a Cross Plains man.
Police say the charges stem from the investigation into the alleged assault which occurred on August 3 at Cinco de Mayo Restaurant.
The man has not been arrested and an arrest warrant has not been issued. Police Chief Tom Janssen says police do not know where the man is, but they are actively searching.
He says other charges are a possibility as the investigation is ongoing.
