DENVER (WKOW)-- Colorado movie theater shooting suspect, James Holmes, appeared in court Thursday for a hearing about his relationship with a psychiatrist.
Defense attorneys revealed Holmes tried to get in touch with Doctor Lynne Fenton through the University of Colorado switchboard, nine minutes before the July 20 shooting. Officials say Holmes also mailed a notebook to Fenton. Holmes' attorneys argue releasing it violates doctor-patient privacy laws.
Fenton testified Thursday that her contract with Holmes ended June 11 and that she contacted campus police because she was "so concerned" about the last meeting.
Holmes is accused of killing 12 and injuring 58 others during a midnight premiere of the latest Batman movie.
