BRILLION (WKOW) -- Brillion Iron Works says the economy is forcing them to cut about 200 positions from the company.
In order to keep up with demand for automotive castings, the Brillion based business hired 200 workers this year. Company officials say the demand has slowed in the past two months and they'll be eliminating 198 positions, including 184 hourly jobs.
Brillion Iron Works has been on record pace for revenue and profitability this year, according to company spokesman Timothy Weir. Weir also said it's been disappointing to see their core markets start to soften.
