Divers rescue woman from Lake Mendota

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Fire Department's Lake Rescue Team rescues a woman from Lake Mendota about 11:15 p.m. on Friday.

The Maple Bluff Fire Department and City of Madison Fire Department were called to Burrows Park for a possible drowning.

When firefighters arrived they met with the 911 caller. The rescue team was able to find the woman about 100 yards from shore. They were able to pull her out of the water.

The woman was taken to shore and transported by ambulance to Meriter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
