MADISON (WKOW) -- The first Madison Dining in the Dark event will bring awareness to blindness. Guests will learn what it's like to be blind by eating in the dark.
Visually impaired servers will share their stories. The event will present the Foundation Fighting Blindness Visionary Award to University of Wisconsin-Madison Coach Bo Ryan. The fundraiser will also honor UW-Madison McPherson Eye Research Institute Director Dr. David Gamm.
The event is on Wednesday, September 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. It's at the Madison Concourse Hotel.
