COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKOW) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan was in Columbus, Ohio Saturday to watch his alma mater, the University of Miami-Ohio, play the Ohio State Buckeyes.

ABC News reports Rep. Ryan greeted supporters, taking photos, and shaking hands and he even met up with some Delta Tau Delta fraternity brothers from his time at Miami University at a tailgate before the game, taking photographs and catching up.

Ryan reportedly had no public, campaign-related events scheduled for that trip, just football.

Ohio State won the game, 56-10.

Ryan is next scheduled to go to Florida, for a rally with running mate Mitt Romney.
