
MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison's meteorological summer was the third hottest on record.
The National Weather Service (NWS) says the average temperature was 73.9 degrees this summer. In Milwaukee it was 74.1, which sets the record there.
Average temperature in Madison and Milwaukee for the year is 55 degrees. That's also a record.
