Average gas prices in Madison increase

MADISON (WKOW) -- Average retail gas prices in Madison have gone up by one cent per gallon in the past week. The average in Madison is $3.89 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price of gas has increased 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week. Prices on Monday were 18.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago.

"With the conclusion of the summer driving season, we can expect gasoline prices to go on a diet," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.
