
NORFOLK, Va. (WKOW) -- President Barack Obama makes a campaign stop in Norfolk, Virginia Tuesday, one day before heading to the Democratic National Convention.
President Obama addressed a crowd at Norfolk State University Tuesday afternoon -- calling on students to help him get out the vote.
Tuesday's trip capped off a swing through battleground states that also took Obama to Iowa, Colorado and Ohio. Wednesday Mr. Obama travels to North Carolina to join the Democratic National Convention that's getting under way today in Charlotte.
First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at the DNC Tuesday evening. The president says he'll be at the White House watching her speech.
Mr. Obama will address the DNC Thursday evening. Watch both speeches on WKOW-TV beginning at 9:00 p.m.
