MADISON (WKOW) -- The 4th annual Criminal Justice Career Fair, sponsored by the Dane County Sheriff's Office, will be at the Alliant Energy center on Thursday, September 13.
Those that are interested in a career in the criminal justice field can meet with recruiters from many local law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives from area colleges. There will be over 20 booths with displays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office will feature demonstrations by some of their special teams, including the K9 Unit, the Bomb Squad, and the Crime Scene Unit. Attendees will also get to have a close-up look at some of the vehicles and equipment on display, including Traffic Team vehicles, Marine and Trail boats, and information from the Sheriff's Office's Jail Diversion Program.
Organizers say this is a career fair for everyone, saying both sworn and civilian opportunities are available. They say the event is free and open to the public.
