ANTIGO (WKOW) -- Another person is charged in a major drug investigation spanning several counties.
Officials say 34-year-old John Hunter, of Antigo, was the leader of the drug ring. He appeared in Langlade County Court Tuesday afternoon.
Hunter now faces 50 felony drug charges, including 26 charges of making and selling marijuana and 24 charges of making and selling cocaine.
Hunter is the 15th person to be charged in this drug investigation. Authorities say Hunter sold drugs to every person that's been charged in this investigation during a five year period. According to court documents, Hunter distributed the drugs in Wausau, Antigo and the Bass Lake area of Langlade County.
Hunter was issued a $5,000 cash bond on Tuesday. He's scheduled to be back in court next month.
Langlade County Sheriff William Greening says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are possible.
