Trees to be removed for Space Shuttle Endeavour parade

Posted:

LOS ANGELES (WKOW) -- The Space Shuttle Endeavour will soon take a trip to Los Angeles. It will be on display at the California Science Center.

A two-day parade is planned in October and 400 trees have to be chopped down for the shuttle to make it through. That's upsetting some people who live in the area.

The Science Center says it will plant 800 new trees to make up for the loss. In 25 missions, Space Shuttle Endeavour flew nearly 300 days in space.
