MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Revenue records show that Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Petri did not pay any state income taxes from 2002 to 2005.
The Associated Press received these records Wednesday from One Wisconsin Now, a liberal advocacy group.
Petri is running for his 16th term this November against Democrat Joe Kallas.
According to Petri's spokesman, he suffered losses as an investor in Lloyds of London after the September 11 terrorist attacks. His spokesman says after that he didn't pay any taxes.
Kallas says he's shocked that Petri didn't pay any taxes.
