MADISON (WKOW) -- Fans of the fall colors in Wisconsin have a new way to track when different areas will be at peak season. A new smartphone app is available through the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.
The department's fall color report is available online as usual in addition to the new smartphone app. New features this year allow users to share and tag their own fall color photos in an interactive map and rate photos posted by others.
The fall color report is created using information provided by more than 100 spotters in all 72 counties. The site is updated at least once a week as information is submitted. The site also links to nearby events, activities, lodging and dining options.
If you're interested, the report is available here.
