Police search for suspect in University Avenue robbery

MADISON (WKOW) – Madison Police are searching for a male suspect involved in a robbery on University Avenue early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 3:53 a.m. on the 2300 block of University Avenue.

Authorities said a victim was walking home when a suspect came along side him and put something into the victim's back.  The suspect proceeded to ask the victim "What you got?"

Officials said the suspect fled with the victim's debit card, credit cards and cell phone.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 20's.
