Baldwin, Thompson agree to 3 debates

MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's U.S. Senate candidates will participate in three debates before the November 6 general election.

Democrat Tammy Baldwin and Republican Tommy Thompson both have agreed to debate September 28, October18 and October 26. Each of the debates will be broadcast statewide.

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation is sponsoring the first debate on September 28 in Milwaukee.

The second debate in Wausau on October 18 will be sponsored by Wisconsin Public Television, Wisconsin Public Radio, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and TMJ4.

The third and final debate on October 26 will be hosted by Mike Gousha from WISN-TV in partnership with the Marquette University Law School and the WISN network of affiliates. WKOW will air that debate.
