4th OWI for woman who drove wrong way on Hwy 12

MADISON (WKOW) -- A woman who drove the wrong way on Highway 12 Sunday was arrested for her fourth Operating While Intoxicated offense.

A Dane County Sheriff's deputy saw the vehicle traveling east in the westbound lane just before midnight.

The deputy stopped 47-year-old Valerie Moran of Madison as she approached Collins Ridge Road in the Town of Springfield.

She failed sobriety tests and was booked into the Dane County Jail.

In addition to the felony OWI charge, Moran was cited for going the wrong way on a divided highway and open intoxicants.
