Police: Janesville girl says man tried to grab her

JANESVILLE (WKOW) – Janesville Police say a 12-year-old girl was grabbed from behind by a man when she was walking on Elizabeth Street Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. Police say the suspect fled  eastbound on Elizabeth Street when another car drove by.

The girl was not hurt, but police continue to search the area for anyone who may have seen what happened.

Police describe the person as a white man, six feet tall and of medium build. They also say he was wearing blue jeans and has a wrinkled face.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Janesville Police Department at 608-755-3100.
