MADISON (WKOW) -- House parties can get out of hand on fall Saturdays near Camp Randall, and Madison police are accustomed to educating people who live at homes around downtown on the possible pitfalls of house parties.
Lt. Dave McCaw at Madison Police Department's downtown precinct says police offered a healthy dose of house party education at the beginning of the semester and will follow that up with patrols at multiple locations Saturday.
Those area include Regent Street, Breese Terrace and Langdon Street.
Lt. McCaw says the goal is to reduce the amount of violence sometimes seen at these pre-game house parties.
We will have more on police efforts to curb violence on game day Saturdays tonight on 27 News at 5, 6 and 10.
