Walker & Driver team up for child passenger safety

Posted:

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Governor Walker teamed up with Donald Driver Friday to kick off the upcoming Child Passenger Safety Week.

They helped the Wisconsin Department of Transportation unveil a new video for parents.

It explains how to install and use child seats the right way.

Driver is an advocate for the WisDOT "Zero in Wisconsin" safety campaign.

He says it's important for parents to know the basics.

"I think this CD will help families, a lot of parents that are confused about how to install, and how to properly use the seat belt and the child safety seat. So it'll work out fine, I'm hoping this CD gets to thousands and thousands of people."

The new video also shows the progression of child passenger safety from infancy to 12 years old.
