MADISON (WKOW) -- Before Saturday night's Badger football game, fans celebrated the 40th anniversary of the UW's longest running public tailgate, the Badger Bash at Union South.
In honor of the tailgate's 40th anniversary, Governor Scott Walker declared Saturday as Badger Bash Day.
"We're excited. We come to every game. We enjoy the Badger Bash because the band is here and it's just a good atmosphere," said Debbie Hoeft, a mother of one current UW student and another UW alum.
Hoeft also told 27 News she and her family go to the bash before every game.
