MADISON (WKOW) -- Dozens of dogs and their owners got together on the UW-Madison campus Sunday morning for the annual, "Dog Jog."
The event raises money for area humane societies and is sponsored by the vet school's Companion Animal Club.
Jean Bau started the event about 30 years ago. She says they've come a long way since raising $235 that first year.
"We've raised over half a million dollars
to donate to the local humane societies over the past 30 years," Bau said.
No word yet on how much money they raised Sunday, but the proceeds will benefit all types of animals.
