New route for the Brittany Run

MADISON (WKOW) -- Continuing construction on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison has forced a change for this year's Brittany Run.

The run, previously called the Brittany Zimmerman 5K Run/Walk, has started at Memorial Union and North Campus Mall the past two years.

But, the third annual run on September 29 will move to the Lakeshore Path next to Lake Mendota.

Brittany Zimmerman's 2008 homicide remains unsolved, and money raised through this race goes to a fund that helps police offer rewards for information.
