
MADISON (WKOW) -- Average retail gasoline prices in Madison have not moved in the last week.
The average price for a gallon of gas is $3.87. This compares to the national average that has increased 2.3 cents per gallon to $3.86.
Including the change in gas prices in Madison during the past week, prices Sunday were 30.6 center per gallon higher, than the same day one year ago. They are 1.9 cents lower than a month ago. The national average has increased 15.8 cents per gallon during the last month, and is 24.9 cents per gallon higher than one year ago.
Patrick Dehaan, A Senior Petroleum Analyst with gasbuddy.com, says he is optimistic the prices will come down some, but this year will most likely have the highest yearly average ever.
