MARSHFIELD (WKOW) -- A Marshfield teenager got quite the surprise Monday afternoon while at school.
Major Peter Horvath surprised his daughter, Audrey, at what she thought was just another school assembly.
Horvath has been overseas in Bosnia for almost a year. The U.S. Army veteran also served a tour in Iraq, but he hopes this one was his last.
"We hope there's no trouble in the world that causes me to come back out of retirement," Horvath said.
Horvath says surprising his daughter was the perfect start to the rest of his life. And for his daughter Audrey, it's a day she says she will never forget.
