Madison man arrested for 4th OWI

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Sun Prairie authorities say, a 42 year old Madison man was arrested for his fourth OWI.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012 a Sun Prairie Officer observed a vehicle driving on W. Main St. near Rickel Road in the City of Sun Prairie. It matched the description of an earlier traffic complaint from a citizen. The officer arrested William Cox.

Cox was arrested for OWI fourth Offense, and because this offense occurred within 5 years of a third OWI conviction, the resulting charge is a felony. He was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony OWI charge as well as being cited for operating after revocation, non-registration of an automobile, and possessing unlawfully obtained license plates.
