State Agencies submit biennial budget requests

Posted:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Walker says, all the state agencies have submitted their biennial budget requests.

The requests were posted online Tuesday, a day after they were due to Walker. The governor is in the process of crafting his next two-year state budget for the Legislature to consider next year.

Last month, Walker ordered the state agencies to not include any spending increases in their requests coming in what is expected to be another tight budget.

Walker said in a statement that his next budget will focus on "creating jobs, transforming education, developing our workforce, investing in infrastructure, and continuing to reform government."

Governor Walker also said the requests will be reviewed as they work to craft the next state budget, which he says will be introduced early next year.
