Tree crashes into Madison home

MADISON (WKOW) -- Tuesday's strong winds sent a tree crashing into a home in Madison.

The tree fell through the roof and into a bedroom at a house on the 3100 block of Sandwood Way.

Two boys were inside the home at the time. Madison firefighters say the boys got out safely and then called it in.

"They did a great job. They got out of the house, they didn't stay there and went outside to dial 911," said Madison Fire Department Lt. Eric Brinkmann.

One of the boys was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Firefighters say they may have had minor injuries, if any at all.
