St. Mary's to celebrate 100 years on Sunday

MADISON (WKOW) – On Sunday, the community will get a chance to see Wisconsin's first Ronald McDonald Family Room when it's unveiled as part of St. Mary's Hospital 100th anniversary.

The Family Room, which is near the hospital's pediatrics and neonatal intensive care units, is on the hospital's third floor and is designed as a place of respite for families of critically ill children. It will help families from Madison as well as other areas of South Central Wisconsin.

As part of the centennial celebration, new hospital technology will be on display next to older hospital technology so people can see how far medicine has come in 100 years.

The event runs from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital, 700 S. Park Street in Madison. Click here for more information on the event.
