Milwaukee preps for Obama visit

Posted:

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Plans are in place for President Obama's visit to Milwaukee on Saturday.

He will be in town for a private fundraiser and a public rally at the Summerfest grounds.

A campaign spokesperson says they're expecting a couple thousand people to attend the rally.

With Wisconsin's importance as a swing state in the election, other big names could be coming to the state.

"I think that with 45 days to go before a very important election, you never know who you're gonna see coming through town. Whether it's folks from the Republican side or folks from our side," said Obama campaign spokesman Joe Zepecki.

In just the past month, Wisconsin has been visited by Vice President Joe Biden, First lady Michelle Obama, VP nominee Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney's wife, Ann.
