NEILLSVILLE (WKOW) – The family of a hunter shot and killed in Clark County 11 years ago is offering a reward for information in the case.
Relatives of James Southworth are hoping the $50,000 reward will lead to a new break in the case and lead them to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
The 37-year-old Southworth was shot in the back while hunting alone near Chili on November 23, 2001.
Sheriff's officials are looking for a pickup truck that was parked near the spot where Southworth's body was found. Witnesses described the truck to authorities as being silver, gray or off-white with a possible light tan, beige or off-white stripe along the side.
According to our sister station, WAOW-TV, investigators want to interview three men who were seen standing around the truck about noon on the day Southworth was killed.
