
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Breakfast Rotary has put together 16 pallets of elementary and secondary school textbooks for impoverished children in Afghanistan.
Madison Breakfast Rotary works with the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard to complete this project. The books were shipped to Kabul, Afghanistan.
Since 2005, as part of the International Books for the World program, the Madison Breakfast Rotary has been collecting textbooks and other educational materials from across Wisconsin to ship to schools in third-world countries. This is an on-going program, which serves over 20 countries.
