1 staffer killed, another injured in Colo. prison

CROWLEY, Colo. (WKOW) -- One staffer was killed and another seriously injured in a incident involving a prisoner at a state prison in southeast Colorado.

State prison officials say a female kitchen staffer was killed and another was wounded Monday in the attack at the state prison in Crowley, which is located about 45 miles southeast of Pueblo.

The Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility houses about 1,000 male prisoners and was put on lock down.
