MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police arrested four people after a bar fight on University Avenue early Sunday morning.
Madison police arrested 23-year-old Michael Simmons, of Sun Prairie and 23-year-old Michelle Conley, of Sun Prairie, for battery and disorderly conduct. Twenty-eight-year-old Antwan Windom, of Madison, and 22-year-old Vonzaye Davis, of Sun Prairie, were also taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
Police say the group began fighting with staff members at Wando's Bar on University Avenue, after one of the suspects fell off a bar stool and was asked to leave. During the fight, one of the suspects threw a full recycling bin down the stairs at the bouncers, hitting one of them. Police say Conley also used a broom stick to hit that same bouncer in the head several times.
The 34-year-old bouncer held Simmons down as authorities were called, and the victim told police Simmons punched him four or five times in the face, and threatened to come back later and shoot him.
Simmons later told police he was out celebrating the birth of his daughter.
