Police search for driver who ran away after crash

DANE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Authorities are looking for the driver who ran away after crashing his truck early Tuesday morning in the Township of Medina.

Officials say multiple emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Oak Park Road, north of Schenk Lane, around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say three people were in a 1994 Chevrolet pick up when the male driver lost control and rolled it on Oak Park Road. Two female passengers were taken to a local hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say the driver left the crash scene before emergency crews arrived, and has not been found.

While the Dane County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate this crash, they say alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors.
