MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say a man found passed out inside the bus shelter at the south transfer station on Badger Road on Thursday night got combative with officers.
Police say 30-year-old Shaun Smith, of Fitchburg, kicked one police officer in the kneecap and spat in the face of another, while several officers struggled to get him into custody. They say he also yelled sexist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic slurs at the officers.
The officers arrested Smith for Battery to a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting/Obstructing, Bail Jumping, and Unlawful Use of Bus Shelter.
