EAU CLAIRE (WKOW) -- A woman was found dead at a house fire in Eau Claire.

Now authorities are investigating how she died.

Firefighters were called to the scene Monday afternoon after a neighbor reported smoke coming from the house.

The Leader-Telegram reports police are considering the site a possible crime scene and are interviewing people.

She was alone in the house.

Authorities have not released her name.
