World Dairy Expo begins Tuesday in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- Tuesday, Madison becomes the center of the dairy industry for about a week. 

It's the annual World Dairy Expo at the Alliant Energy Center.

An estimated 70,000 people are expected to attend the five-day event, and they'll come from about 90 different countries.

At the expo, farmers learn about what's new in the industry.

The event is also a boost for the local economy, bringing in an estimated $15 to $18 million.
