MADISON (WKOW) -- We're seeing one more thing to blame on the unusually warm weather we've had this year: extra bugs.
Boxelder bugs, to be exact.
Experts say the bugs have doubled in number this year due to the heat.
The good thing, they're harmless to us.
"They like to eat on vegetation, so they won't harm anything around you. They're just a nuisance. And the reason why we're seeing them right now is because they're looking for a warm place to spend the winter," explained Dan Marzu, and agricultural development educator.
Experts say the best way to get rid of them is to make sure your windows and doors are completely sealed so they can't get inside your house.
